Early morning Couch to 5k programme now available
Kickstart your day with the Couch to 5k programme in Malvern.
The 12-week course, which will run from 6am to 7am from Thursday 6 June, will allow participants to take part before work.
Couch to 5k is a national running initiative that has been designed to get people from the couch and gradually work up to running five kilometres in just 12 weeks.
The fun and informal sessions will be held weekly at Malvern Town Football Club and will cost £25.
Ideal for adult (18+) beginners, the programme has been set up by Malvern Hills District Council and aims to help build confidence, stamina, fitness and well-being.
Run leader Rachel Vann is fully qualified in running fitness and will provide free training, advice and support throughout.
Rachel Vann, Well-Being and Physical Activity Officer for Malvern Hills District Council, said: “We have added this early morning programme to allow people who have other commitments in the day time or the evening the chance to take part. We want the course to be accessible for everyone.”
This course needs a minimum number of five people to run.
