Bikeability is the national standard for cycle training to develop better and safer cycling habits, this is also known as the 21st century Cycling Proficiency programme. Malvern Hills District Council is now Bikeability accredited and will be delivering the sessions to both adults and children ensuring they gain practical cycle skills and have a better understanding of how to cycle on today’s roads as well as giving them more confidence.

Aimed at children aged 7 years+ and adults. Riders will learn to control and master their bikes in a space away from traffic. If a child can competently ride their bike, younger ages will be considered. Each course will be held at Sport Dyson Perrins and costs just £10. Max number of places is 8.

Level 2 (An introduction to)
Aimed at children over the age of 10 and adults, riders will be given cycling experience on local roads, learning how to deal with traffic helping you to feel more confident, as well as understand how road positioning can help keep you safe on today's roads.Each course costs just £15 and will be starting in Malvern. Max number of places is 6.

How to Book (Booking Essential)
All parents/guardians and adults must check availability first, then make payment and complete and return the booking form to secure your booking.

There are 8 places available on the Level 1 course with a minimum of four participants for the course to run. There are six places available on the Level 2 course with a minimum of three participants for the course to run.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Should a course need to be cancelled for any reason, then parents/guardians/participants will be offered a full refund or opportunity to transfer onto a future course.
What do I need to bring?
You must provide your own roadworthy bike and helmet and appropriate clothing.
How many sessions are needed?
Most participants will only need one session but are welcome to take part in any courses again.
What level of skill is required before the course?
Level 1 Bikeability - All children and adults must be able to ride a bike in a straight line without stabilisers.
Level 2 Bikeability - All children and adults must have either successfully completed a Level 1 Bikeability course with us or can confirm that they can demonstrate the outcomes outlined here.
